Terms and Conditions

To provide you with the benefit of the laws  that have been passed already for 12 step programs, for all intents and purposes, we are a 12 step program.  This means you can:

1.  You can be on probation/parole and you can come to a meeting, or have coffee with one of us, or talk to us on the phone without violating these terms under the laws forbidding felons to "associate" with each other or to "assemble".  If you are unsure about this, we are happy to talk to your probation/parole officer.

2.  Anything said on our hotline, in our emails, in a meeting, or any umbrella of this program is protected from surveillance by law enforcement and can't be used in any court of law or criminal prosecution.  Domestic violence and drug abuse hotlines have this same protection.  If we receive a subpoena or a warrant to speak about anything we've been told, we will be able to legally refuse them as we have in the past.  However, be aware we have no idea how this plays out on places such as Google, Zoom, etc., and we do have talks ongoing about this as we speak.

3.  Because a 12 step program has been classified as a "religion", you are allowed to keep our literature in your cell if incarcerated, and to speak to your "sponsor" the same as if you wanted to speak to your pastor or priest.  

4.  If you are arrested, and they want you to do mandatory jail time, we can be used as an alternative the same as they do with addicts in drug court.  This goes for if you want an early release, to do community service hours, diversion, or even let us connect you to a halfway house.  If you need help with this, or a court card signed, just reach out to us and we'll work everything out with you.  

Please understand we can't be responsible for third party hackers, illegal surveillance, search engines such as Google you may use to find us who may track you to this site, or even your physical safety.  So please use common sense at all times.  Please know we do not sell or rent or lend or in any way release any information on anything to anyone for any reason, but again we can't be responsible for hackers or these third parties over which we have no control.  We have been impersonated before online by people who are trying to get information on members, so if you see something like this that's not "us" - please let us know so we can get an attorney to handle the matter.  Beware of "attack" sites also posted about us that are just smoke screens to gather data on our members as well and the cookies they will attach to you when on their sites.  Please understand that while we help people worldwide, and where the game is legal and illegal, our focus isn't on legalities.  While we are not here to protect or facilitate crime in any way, we do feel that only by providing a fairly "safe" place to talk about these very personal matters can healing and change begin and sustain.  We are not attorneys and therefore can't advise you on any legalities and can only advise you to seek legal counsel if you have any legal questions.  We have posted information from news clips easily found online showing that the National Trafficking Hotline IS sharing data with Palantir Technologies, i.e., who is essentially providing data to the CIA, and already is trying to pass laws to force callers to partner with law enforcement - which for some of us is like sending the redeemed back to hell.  We are not lawyers, doctors, professionals, etc.  We're just like you who are seeking support from each other in order to heal, change and move on.   The ONLY exception we will make to this rule is if we feel a child is in danger or someone is threatening suicide/murder.  In that situation, we feel we have no choice but to do mandatory reporting.
